A network-, system- and security administrator with very good knowledge of general networks and Unix operating systems. Works well both in teams and on his own. Excellent ability to learn new things, and to apply the new information on problems. Dedicated to create stable environments with as high availability as possible.


Major achievements:

  • Writing and maintaining the iptables-tutorial available on http://www.frozentux.net.

  • Implemented and created a security policy for company, to maximize security and to create a minimalistic profile towards the Internet.

  • Created several help scripts to minimize work effort needed to maintain modempool consisting of 50 Linux machines.

  • Created and implemented several firewalls for companies and people around the world.

  • Held all in all 3 presentations in USA at CERTconf 2002 and 2003 on Linux firewalling.

Mainly worked as an in-shop writer to write new courseware material on several different topics. Major achievements:

  • Linux/Unix courseware.

  • Windows 2000 courseware.

  • Part of the Office XP courseware.

  • Planning of computer hardware courseware.


Support technician

After some time he took over the in-house support of the platform, from scratch. Major achievements:

  • Creating and managing the support system.

  • Creating routines for handling support errands.

  • Making regular statistics over the main problems in the platform, leading to an much improved platform and 50% drop in support.
